Ike`s Place in Abilene

The fajita street tacos were awesome!! My parents had chicken avocado wraps and liked them as well. Definitely recommend!

I had the Baja street taco absolutely perfect

Showed up an hour before closing but it was well recommended. Fried pickles, on point. Forgot about my baked potato and said it would take a few extra minutes, I felt bad because it was already close to closing but our waitress said "we dont kick anyone out". That there is what won me over! 10/10 rest of the food was delicious also

If you ever stop into Abeline, I would highly recommend eating here for lunch or dinner. Great burger, fair size, and juicy. Fries were excellent! Service was fast as could be.

Good food very friendly staff. But every time I go in there I get about 80% of what I order some times less. Overall it's still a good place to eat.

Quaint bar and restaurant!

Simple fare at good prices. We stopped by Ike’s after visiting the Eisenhower Library. They are open on Monday. The fried chicken salad had too much batter and no chicken breast. I’d probably order something else next time. Lots of Ike memorabilia on the walls and the staff was very pleasant.

Super quick service!! Food was prompt and hot!! I had the signature spicy burger and was very pleased!!

Great chicken fried chicken, very juicy and full of flavor. The broccoli was fresh cooked to perfection. My wife had the chicken alfredo that was seasoned well and not overpowering. The sauce was a great blend and compliment to the chicken, noodles and broccoli.

The half rack of ribs melted in your mouth.

Best cowboy nachos I have ever tried. I got them with fries and ground beef. The food was delicious and I will be back for more! The beer is a delicious craft beer from KC bier company. Ike’s also had great service. The staff is very friendly. There’s seating areas separated from the bar for if you wanted to bring the whole family.

Disappointing. Only one staff wore a mask. No other patron or staff did. Will not be going back to an establishment which shows do little respect for community health.

Ike's Place is fantastic! They sat our group of 7 right away, were very quick with the food and drinks and -most importantly- our waiter was SO patient and kind with my overly hyperactive A.D.D. self last Sunday evening. (Hey man, if you're reading this, sorry for being so obnoxious. I get like a poorly trained Golden Retriever when I get to hang out with friends. Thanks for putting up with me!) The street tacos are so so good. We will definitely be back.

If you like great tasting burgers but you aren't very hungry this is your place. It was a very small burger on an oversized bun but great taste.

Staying at Super 8 today here in Abilene for the first time. Only thing close was fast food until we found Ike'sPlace. Decided to give it a shot and it was very very good. Prices were good, wife had a chicken wrap and I had a bacon cheeseburger, only get the one Patty, it's at least a half pound. Great surprise for what started out looking like a hopeless dinner at BK or McD's.

In addition to good food and a surprisingly wide range of selections on the menu, our server Jeffrey really made our experience magical.First, after someone else took our drink orders, he came back to our table and went over them a second time to make sure they were right, then he had very good feedback starting with the statement, "I'm a margarita connoisseur..." and he helped the two ladies in our party get the perfect drinks which they were very happy with. Similarly he was enthusiastic and genuinely very helpful with our food selections, which were prepared very well.

we got takeout, they forgot the dressings for the salads. not enough forks and knives. country fried steak is very soft and mediocre but overall it was okay for right here.

Even offers a vege burger on the menu. Good beer too. & Ike images. And when I discovered I had forgotten my wallet in my room there was no drama or problem with my leaving to retrieve it.

The waitress became argumentative when I questioned why I got a full order of cowboy fries when I ordered the ", cowpoke" size...she got disrespectful and insisted that she got the order right. The food was very good but her actions caused the experience to very disheartening.

It’s a typical small town bar with the interesting distinction of being more expensive than Manhattan, NY. I finished my food and said to myself that it’s good bar food, but it’s still just bar food. I asked for the check and received a blow below the belt: $44.69 for a half order of nachos, a taco, and three beers. This would seem excessive in Honolulu, much less Nowhere’sville, KS. If you’re really hungry in Abilene, go somewhere else. If you’re really hungry in Abilene and want a drink, go to the liquor store and then go somewhere else.

Atmosphere is great clean friendly staff awesome food will definitely come again

I've ate here a few times, but tonight was by far our worst experience. My wife's steak was as tough as shoe leather, loaded baked potato the bacon tasted like the dug it out of the grease trap from last week, my pasta was IDK what to call it but was horrible. For $70 I sure expected quality food but we were disappointed.

The food and service are really good. However, you can smell the bathroom as soon as you walk in the door. If not for the bathroom, I would give this place 5 stars. We were in town doing the tourist thing and my son found it on a web search. It was worth the adventure.

I had the whiskey burger and wife had the grilled chicken. Everything was good. Nothing was really standout, just good. My fries were excellent. The dining area and restrooms were clean and the service was good. I would eat here again.

Nice little stop! We were passing through and needed some simple, good food and this place delivered. Food came out at a good pace and was delicious. The service could have been a bit better, we felt like our server kinda abandoned us at times. Would recommend to anyone who was good, no fuss food.

Awesome food, the Street Taco's were fantastic! Open on Mondays when most restaurants are closed in Abilene. Great service and a great collection of photos of President Eisenhower, hence the name Ike's.

Basically, only local place ...non franchise.....that is open on Monday afternoon. Decent chili, had to use Louisiana Hot Sauce. Prices not bad.

Excellent food better service. Chief Ike himself would have been proud. Presidential friendly service in Abilene hometown of Eisenhower just minutes off of I 70 one of his signature projects. That and defeating fascism. America you're welcome...

Shrimp tacos are delicious

This was a cool little dive bar. Quite, there were the old school guys at the end of the bar talking about their military service. Its just kind of a low-key place. I enjoyed it.

Three words: Tika masala tacos. Yes, you must try them.
